"The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of
60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is."
-- C.S. Lewis

Times are challenging. Money is tight. Emotions are unstable.
The markets are fluctuating.
No matter how overwhelming our tasks appear, no matter how
intractable our challenges feel, no matter how important or
unimportant our role in the world, we all wake up with the same
precious gift in our possession -- 24 hours of non-refundable time.
Many of you who are reading this are not procrastinators. For those
of us who are, we put things off for a number of reasons. We put
off tasks, especially big ones, because we don't know where to begin
or we "don't have time." As my friend and mentor Cavett Robert said
in his halting, melodic, Mississippi drawl: "If someone told me / that
I could have / all the $20 bills I could count between now and 4:00
this afternoon / do you think I wouldn't have time?!?"
As you hear yourself saying, "I don't have time," it helps to remember
that everyone everywhere has the same amount of time. Whatever we do
or don't do with our hours, they all come sixty seconds at a time.
